Medical Review Board

Health content is only as trustworthy as the people willing to put their names on it. Daily Vitality's Medical Review Board is a working group of licensed clinicians — physicians, registered nurses, and registered dietitians — who read, challenge, and verify our health reporting for accuracy, safety, and responsible framing.

When an article has been medically reviewed, it carries a named "Medically reviewed by" byline with the reviewer's credentials, so you always know who checked what.

Daily Vitality is owned and operated by PointForm, Inc., an Ontario corporation.

What "Medically Reviewed" Means

Content we deem appropriate — particularly articles addressing health conditions, symptoms, supplements, treatments, and other clinically sensitive topics — is reviewed by a qualified medical expert, in addition to our standard editorial review.

Our reviewers are matched to content by subject-matter expertise, so a piece on perimenopause is evaluated by a clinician with women's health experience, and a supplement evaluation is checked by a professional with a nutrition background — not by a single generalist.

When reviewing an article, our Medical Expert Reviewers assess:

  • Accuracy — Are the health claims consistent with current, credible evidence? Are statistics, mechanisms, dosages, and clinical details correct?
  • Currency — Does the content reflect present-day research, guidance, and standards of care rather than outdated findings?
  • Responsible framing — Is the strength of the evidence represented honestly? Are preliminary findings labeled as such? Is the content free of exaggerated, sensational, or fear-based claims?
  • Safety — Are the appropriate cautions present, such as interactions, contraindications, and when to consult a healthcare professional?

Reviewers can — and do — challenge our reporting. Content is revised until the reviewing expert is satisfied, and the review credit is only applied once it is.

What Medical Review Is Not

Medical review makes our content more accurate and more responsibly framed. It does not change what our content is:

  • It is not medical advice. Reviewed content remains general educational information, not guidance for your specific situation.
  • It is not a diagnosis or treatment recommendation. Our reviewers evaluate our articles — they do not evaluate you.
  • It is not a substitute for your own healthcare provider. Always consult a qualified professional about your health, and see our Medical Disclaimer for the full picture.

Coverage Areas

Our Medical Review Board spans women's health and perimenopause, nutrition and dietetics, metabolic and gut health, hormones and hormone therapy, and general wellness. As our coverage grows, so does the board.

Independence

Medical review operates inside the same editorial independence that governs everything we publish: reviewers' assessments are not influenced by affiliate relationships, advertisers, or any commercial consideration, and no manufacturer or retailer can pay for a favorable review. For the complete picture of how we keep editorial and commercial functions separate, see our Editorial Policy.

Join Our Board

We are always interested in hearing from qualified medical professionals — physicians, registered nurses, registered dietitians, pharmacists, and other licensed clinicians — who are interested in reviewing consumer health content. If that's you, please contact us with "Editorial" in the subject line and a summary of your credentials and areas of expertise.
